Debs Daily Deliberations - 27

2 minute read time.
Good afternooners, I woke up early today around 6am and couldn't get back to sleep - hmm that might have been because the hubby was snoring for England!!! Anyways, he hasn't felt too good the last few days so figured I might as well get up. Pottered about continuing to tidy up as Mandy the Macmillan Development Officer was coming at 9.30am. I did my makeup, put on my Sunday best hair (yeah I know its Monday) and waited, and waited......till finally at 10.10am I get a phonecall to say Mandy had a crisis this morning and couldnt make it, her diary was too full for the rest of the day to fit me in so could we do it tomorrow between 9.45am and 10am. I am not moaning, but I did feel a little let down..................so off came the hair and on went the cap and off to Tesco's I go for our shopping. Today we are having pork curry, well all except Lara who will be having vegetable curry (there's not many meals when we ALL eat the bloody same grrrrrr). Bumped into a few of the kids from the pre-school, had a quick chat to some of the mums, had plenty of cuddles and a couple of kisses - really cheered me up knowing people (OK kids) miss me. So am home with a cuppa typhoo and wondering what to put in my hovis granary baton for lunch?!!!!! Oh did I tell you all that my Dad rang on Friday - only to moan that I sent my aunt a piccie of me in the wig and she had told them and why didnt I send it to them......I just said "you know what Dad, I can't be arsed remembering who I sent what to, so I am not even gonna go there! I have short term memory deficits you know" (truth is, my aunt emails me at least once a week just to see how things are going and to let me know whats going on with me cousins etc - which is more than my parents do!) but hey the memory loss was a great "get me out of jail for free card" on that occasion LOL I love my parents, honest I do, but gordon bennet......why does my Mum think I wanna hear about all the people in her street that are ill or have died in the last couple of weeks - I wanna be inspired, cheered up!!!!!!!!! She also goes on about what sort of hats am I wearing (she has been researching on the net - very DANGEROUS lol) I just know that she will turn up next week with some monstrosity I will have to wear - at least while they are here!!! The how are you darling.....why didnt you .........type of conversation I get from them upsets me a tad and annoys Tony A LOT. OH OH OH...........just got interupted typing by my doorbell ringing, frantically searched for my hat and there was Interflora, my cousins (who lost their mum in their teens) in Norfolk have just sent me a beautiful bunch of sunny flowers.......and now I am crying - what a wuss LOL Well thats about all for today folks, I hope the sun is shining on you all. Thought for today: You laugh because I'm different...........I laugh cause I just farted!

    Aw Debs

After all that you deserved flowers, love reading your blogs and yes no matter how much you love your parents, we are only human and they do get on our nerves sometimes!!!! especially when you get the full version of who said what when where and how, when really all you want is a summary of events lol.

Have a nice day, put your feet up and enjoy your lovely flowers.

Enjoy the flowers Debs.    Try not to be too hard on the wrinklies.  They probably don't know how to respond.  Ray's mum used to change the subject all the time because she just wasn't coping very well with his illness.   We would be giving her an update on what was happening and suddenly find that we were hearing about Janet from upstairs or Ivy from next door.  Anyway hun,  nice to read your blog yet again.  Take care love x x x p.s.  So when are you going to invite me for one of your fabulous sounding meals ????  lol

When I lived near you a while back I used to send flowers to a girl in Romford.  Made her cry too!  Bliddy hayfever!!!

Love reading the blogs Debs, keep 'em coming.

    Cheers,  Mike

loved todays blog and LOL at a lot of it.  I find I've got a bit more assertive since I've been ill. Can't be wasting time on people who waste mine.  Go girl.
