Shopping At Sainsburys

Yes you heard me right, but no one tell Mr. Tesco please & thank you.  Now this little tale of woe is for those of you fortunate enough not to be a friend of mine on Facebook.

Tony and I were going to the Grove Hotel today as its the start of the Summer Course of Karate Kids that my hubby and his club partner are running.  We were going to have a huge fry up Sunday morning to keep us (and the kids at home going) so off to Sainsbury we go on Saturday late morning.

We have no idea where things are in this store so its always a bit of an adventure.  We get as far as the baked beans and I remember "we've not got any black pudding" Tony replies "stay here, I'll get it.  Don't wander off".......sheesh what am I ........5 years old????

I dutifully parked our small trolley by the beans and stood waiting, and I waited, waited, waited.........for around 10mins all the while people are giving me weird looks like "wasn't she there when we went past at the start of our shopping?" the young lad stacking the shelves was peering at me outta the corner of his eye like I was stalking him as he stacked the pot noodles!

I finally got fed up and phoned my darling saying "have you gone home or something?"......."no" he replies "I am in aisle 16".......so I stand and wait and wait and wait and another 7mins goes by before he finally shows up with a packet of black pudding.  Now its not like this store is massive or anything, its just an average sized store.

So, "why did you take so bloody long?", "I was chatting to my aunt & uncle!" came his reply........internal body pressure rising now "oh and you couldn't let me know!!!!!!!" my anger starting to show now....."well I told you I was in aisle 16".....yeah he did, didn't he "but.....you didn't feckin tell me to come to aisle 16 I just stood there like a bloody retard for nearly 20mins!!!!!!!!" well he explained, he thought that by telling me what aisle he was in, I would go there, cos thats what he'd do........well I am NOT bloomin him am I.

So a fairly frosty finish to our shopping, yes I was mad as hell at him for taking so long......but I think I was madder at myself for standing there like some escaped mental patient hoping to blend in.

At Christmas I am expecting to receive one of those child safety bracelets that emits a warning sound if you 'wander' outside of the set parameters!!!!!!!

I knew there was a reason I hate black pudding!!!!! You are so much calmer than me Debs, if it was my ole man The black pudding would have been shoved up his  nose and the back wheels of the trolley would have been sticking out of his arse! But thats just me LOL Stick with Tesco chic, it is safer!!! Love ya mate....Carol x

    hahaha ............ooooo i shouldnt laugh!

    but

its the way you tell em !!!!!

    debs i absolutle hate shopping

when me and mr N go food shopping (together - not very often) he rushes round leaving me following like a little kid ....... then he stands looking at every blooming packet of meat etc ............. arent they all the same ?

then if i spot something and start looking i turn round and hes gone !!!! and i have to walk up n down every end of aisle ...like forever trying to find him......

i think they watch me on cctv just for fun!!!!!!

so me n you make a pact - next time - WE  will wander off and let them search for us ?????

hahaha - tis funny tho eh?
