Debs Daily Deliberations 215

3 minute read time.

Tuesday and at least the rain had gone.  The kids were all "off timetable" today, Jack had to go in smart business like clothes, so grey trousers, white shirt, tie and his purple lined black jacket - he looked the business, together with his CV.  Local business's volunteer to come in and give mock interviews to the year 11's.  Lara had a day of technology and ended up cooking lunch for the headmistress (got two merits for it too - suck up lol) and Sean did 6 hours of "boring stuff" apparently.

I had no need to go to Tesco's today as I had all my ingrediants to make tonights meals.  I prepped just before lunch and made a huge portion of my Chili Pork & Beef Meatballs so rolled out enough for tonights meal and put the rest of the mixture into the freezer.  I then cooked chicken in a tomato pasta sauce topped with a fresh breadcrumb and parmesan crust for Sean & Lara who don't like the meatballs.  Did all the washing up and was now starving.

So into the oven went a part-baked baguette and I cooked some bacon and had a totally disgustingly unhealthy bacon baguette with ketchup and didn't drop a bit down me.  Now it was time for me to catchup on my recorded programmes, I curled up on the sofa with a throw and Ollie curled up beside me, Dexter likes to sit on my computer chair when I am not on it, so with everyone comfy we started with House followed by Flash Forward.

Jack and Lara soon came in and I had to drag out of them what they had done at school, Jack said his interview went well and the lady told him he could communicate effectively, his CV was very good for a first attempt and advised it would be better with examples.

Tony came home followed by Sean who stays on at school to play Badminton on a Tuesday.  I cooked crumpets for everyone (except me) and we sat around for a while chatting.  Sean was tired from sport and Jack has a science GCSE module exam on Weds and wanted to cram all evening.

So with none of the kids training, Tony and I left for karate.  I had a great hour laughing with Natsuko and it went so quickly.  I had already put the dinner in the oven on S and phoned just before we left the leisure centre for Jack to go and turn the oven up to gas mark 4.  Got in and cooked some rice and dinner was served.

The kids played a bit of Guitar Hero and then we watched the Dog Whisperer, apparently he is coming over to England in March and Tony has already got his O2 priority code for when the tickets go on sale.  Then it was time for "I'm A Z Lister" - oh dear such a shame that Katie had to do another trial Indifferent.  I have realised that Gino could not be the man of my dreams, despite his lovely accent......I am only human and sorry folks to shatter your illusions but have been known to burp and pass wind (unlike my Mother who in 42 years I have never heard bottom burp).

So with that our evening drew to a close, not looking to Wednesday for two reasons.  It's my Nan's funeral and I have to go visit the vampire department in Romford for a bloodtest.

  • Oh Debs... do hope the blood test goes well. I went for one last week but after stabbing me several times they gave up. My veins must see the needle coming and go "dive, dive, dive!". I was left with a bruise the diameter of your average apple and an appointment next week to see a specialist vampire. Oh joy!

    Keep blogging!
