Sunday and at least it started bright and sunny. Woke up at leisure around 8.15am and let the dogs out, made Tony a coffee and took it up to him. When everyone finally surfaced I cooked them all waffles with maple syrup and squirty cream. I had a cuppa tea with toast & marmalade - how good was I.
Got dressed and ready and got the shopping done nice and early back home and that was it, we knew we didn't have to go out again. Finished off the chicken for lunch and did a little work on Tony's karate website for him. Lara asked if we could watch Twilight as we recorded it from Saturday night.
So curtains drawn, hot choccy for the kids and a cuppa for me, we put the film on. I was pretty disappointed, all my friends have been talking about it and I thought it was going to be good. Just seemed like a moody teenage vampire film, bit bland really. The guy who plays Edward was better as Cedric in Harry Potter!! So it's confirmed, I am old and no longer get films LOL I have since been told the books are better!
Dinnertime was fast approaching and we had pitta bread, halloumi, crispy pancetta, houmous, tatziki with breadsticks and nibbles. I cheated and used my wicker baskets the in-laws bought back from Madeira one year, lined with napkins - so only five plates and a griddle pan to wash up!
We all sat and watched Dr Who together, I say we, I was playing scrabble on facebook but the rest of the family were glued. Then it was the X Factor result show, I think Lloyd is a cat really - he seems to have a lot of lives on this show. Never really took to Jamie so won't miss him. Now usually I watch House but the last ever series of I'm A Celebrity was starting. Well I don't mean to blow my own trumpet but bloomin eck, I reckon I would have as much chance of being recognised if I was on the show as those (whats lower than a z lister?) "I used to be a celebrity, get me back on TV" contestents. Have to say though, I love Gino's accent.
So I will have to catch up on House during Monday - however will I fit that into my day........yes I was being sarcastic!
