Saturday and I was woken by Ollie gagging by the bed. Got up, put my glasses on and came downstairs to let him out......he just about made it onto the grass, threw up a mouthful of bile and then did the longest wee. Shot back inside because the weather was atrocious. I know it was forecast for a dismal day but I wasn't quite expecting this.
The family were soon all up and we were sitting around chatting and having a cuppa when it came over all dark and wham.......... big ol' lumps of hail were falling. It quickly turned to rain and it wasn't long before our patio was under water!
Mid morning now and Tony and I ventured out, he needed an external disc drive to load software onto his netbook. Got that and some coving for the boys bedroom which is next for decorating. We also got Lara a new mouse and a bigger memory card for her new phone (well new to her).
Stopped at Tesco's on the way back and grabbed a hot chicken and some tiger bread rolls. Home and hot chicken with mayo rolls and a cuppa tea and we all felt a lot better. We decided to splash out and order a Turkish kebab for dinner.
I still have a little bit of cold thats lingering around in the background. Not enough to make me feel ill or rough but enough to worry me it will affect my blood results next week. We had a real lazy afternoon, doing nothing much of anything.
Ordered our kebabs, chicken for me and lamb for the rest and it was even better that I didn't have any washing up to do after! Watched X Factor, the Twins did OK this week, not sure if I have become brainwashed over the weeks or if they really are improving . Felt sorry for Olly, he was entertaining but the song choice was BAD (definately gotta vote to keep him in this week). The best for me were Stacey and Joe.
After that we watched a few episodes of Criminal Minds having recorded Twilight earlier to watch tomorrow. Went to bed after a cosy day indoors.
Just the one photo today, a lilly from my backgarden smothered in some kind of flying insect!
Thought for today:
Friendship doubles joy and halves grief.
