Debs Daily Deliberations 211

3 minute read time.

Friday yaaaaaaaaaaay although hang on a minute ....... its absolutely peeing down with rain. The children leave begrudgeonly wearing their raincoats and I have to duck out with the kitchen caddy and empty it into the food caddy and put it out for the dustmen. My neighbours always look at me weirdly when they see me in my bathrobe and a hat .... although I make sure its white to match! Put the rest of the recycling out and dashed back in before getting entirely soaked through. Todays photographic intermissions are some flowers & glass art from the Grove Hotel, Watford.

Back inside and I googled florists in Chelmsford to arrange the flowers for my nans funeral next Wednesday. Found one I liked and ordered online, fingers crossed they deliver in time! Loaded the photos from the karate class onto my pc and opened up my graphics programme to make some photo montages for use on the website and for the editorial thats going into the Jan 2010 magazine edition. Updated the website, made some embroidery enquiries and my unpaid work for the day was done.

The rain had stopped and so off to Tesco's I trot, saunter around the shop as I am not in a rush but when I come to leave, its flipping peeing down again! Ah well I have my hat on and a coat and I had even put my gloves in my bag so.......I take a slow walk home in the rain without worrying about getting wet and actually enjoying it. Put all the shopping away, wash up and pop a fresh load of laundry on. Had a cuppa tea and a sausage roll for lunch.

Tony stops off at the school and picks the boys up - Lara is nowhere to be seen and had left her phone at home! Everyone in and hot drinks and tv on for a bit. Dinnertime and we are having Chicken Fajita's (thanks Zoe for the suggestion) nice and easy and quick. This is the first time in ages I have managed to eat them without dripping soured cream down my front!

My sister phones up and asks Lara to pop round, she comes home beaming as Aunty Shar has given Lara her old Samsung phone (same model that Lara dropped in the pond) as her new phone had arrived that day. Finally Lara says she no longer has to be embarassed by the battered old Sony Walkman phone she was using.

Just after 7pm and Tony, Lara & Sean head off to table tennis. Jack and I have a cuppa and watch a Question of Sport together and he disappears back to his room when it finishes and I try to go into chat for a little while. I won't use it in the evening when the family around, just doesn't feel right but as it was just me.......why not! Well, I'll tell you why not, chat had different idea's.......it let me chat for a little while and I met some new people but then it just froze.......I left, came back and nadaaaaaaa tried twice more and got cross and switched the computer off after catching up with my scrabble games on facebook.

Managed to find the new series of NCIS on the FX channel and watched that. Tony and the kids came home just before 10pm and Sean has been awarded the Jack Petchey Foundation award (again, he got it once for karate) for Ping Pong! Quite pleased, they count as extra marks for when you are applying for sixth forms! We all had another cuppa together....kids had some battenburg but I hate marzipan so had a Chocolate Orange Cupcake......yummy while we watched a bit of Sixth Sense = "I see dead people", he was so cute that Haley Joel Osment, then it was time for bed. The wind was howling around outside and kept banging our letterbox flap......which made the dogs bark thinking someone was knocking at the door.

Thought for today:

    Hi Sean,

Well done for winning your Foundation award for Table Tennis, tell your Mum not to be so old fashioned by calling it Ping Pong she is only showing her age.

    Congratulations again Sarsfield.
