Friday the kids go off to school without too much 'bovver' and I decide that as I have this feckin cold I am NOT going to Tesco's today! I do hang some laundry out in the garden and empty the kitchen caddy and put the food caddy out for collection - Tony does the wheelie bin as he leaves for work. The weathergirl has forecast a frost for Saturday night, so todays photographic intermissions are from a bit of freezing fog we had last year....made everything look so pretty!
Mid-morning and my Mum rings me (whoaaaaaa) as I had emailed her scanned photos of the kids school pics. Now does she say "oh aren't they lovely"....no she says "is your scanner dirty?".....ermmmm probably why "cos it looks like Jack has dandruff"....oh thanks Mum and how are you!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrr but I love her really. After about half an hour I have a coughing fit and she tells me to go and have a drink.......and this draws our conversation to a close. I finished off the remaining seafood cocktail sandwich filler for lunch and watched some TV. I felt guilty not going to Tesco's, bit like I wasn't doing my job LOL
Tony is home before the kids today and it wasn't long before Lara was on the phone asking if she was getting a lift home today, nope its not raining the walk will do you good. By 3.45pm the house was full and I couldn't stand Tony moping around any longer. We went off to get him a netbook as thats all the coffers will afford (well actually they dont but my usual saying since diagnosis comes into play "ah sod it"). For some bizarre reason, we earn Argos points with our energy supplier and had just over £30 on the card, so into Argos we go and purchase a tiny little Samsung netbook. Now I might get some peace and quiet!!! We also buy two new name tags for the dogs in Pets At Home, so they match (awwwwwwwwww) and tonight I cook big fat burgers!!
Sean and Lara have chicken burgers while Jack, Tony and myself have sauteed red onions, mayo, burger and two rashers of crispy pancetta to top it off in our bun....oh and the boys have nasty plastic cheese on theirs, I DONT! I cooked the burgers in the Foreman Grill to try and get as much fat out of them as I could and they were gorgeous, not often I cook rubbish but, I have a cold and want comfort food.
Tony and Sean go off to table tennis and Lara insists on watching the "search for Michael Jacksons spirit" or some other rubbish on TV, she is so young and impressionable, she believes everything she hears and see's on TV. Once Tony is home I have to help him set up his email addresses....now think of this a bit like a husband teaching his wife to drive.......get my drift! Our virgin account is easy but he needed to add three email addresses connected to his website and this took a little longer to explain. I helped get his antivirus and security sorted and went to bed while his little netbook was installing 54 updates LOL Still missing a few friends off here and wondering how Drew is recovering? Seems suspicion and intrigue is the order of the day on the site .......could have our own fireworks display by the end of the weekend!
