Debs Daily Deliberations 203

3 minute read time.

Thursday just before the kids went off to school today they remembered they had been given their school photos from the day before (organised NOT) Lara's was of her individually next to a photo of her whole form as they do for all year 7's. Jack's was the same except it was of the whole year not form as he is in the final year. Sean's would have been just of him but he hated it and asked me not to buy it - wasn't hard to save myself £18 on something he would never let me display! So todays photographic intermissions are - my kids!

Not sure Lara's hair has ever been that tidy again since photo day LOL

My cold is really starting to come out on me now and last night I dreamt that they put my last round of chemo off because were bloods were shockingly bad, I think this stems from the fact I am fretting a bit......I so wan't to get this done by the end of November and just get on with life for as long as possible before the MRI's tell me that Buttercup or a sibling of hers has come back. I was destined to spend the day with a pocketful of tissues. It was quite sunny and bright early here so I hung out a load of laundry and psyched myself up for the walk to Tesco's. The fresh air would do me good, clear my stuffy nose etc. Not a bad walk there and I was hatted, gloved and scarfed up to the max, wandered a bit aimlessly around the store but got all the ingrediants necessary for my Chick, Pancetta & Parmesan Pan Pasta dish. Came out of the store and.........its flipping raining!

Today I didn't have my bakers boy style hat with brim on, instead I had a delicate knitted cream cotton beret with translucent sequins dotted here and there for effect. Its quite loosely knitted and I could feel some of the drizzly rain making its way through to my baldy bit of head - can't say I really enjoyed that feeling so walked rather briskly home. Got home, put the shopping away, washed up and made myself a seafood cocktail granary baguette for lunch and a cuppa tea. Sat on the sofa with an armed guard either side waiting for spillages!!!!!! As usual with colds, I was beginning to feel worse as the day progressed so after lunch I wrapped myself in a cosy throw and lay on the sofa watching crap TV for an hour or so before the tribe trooped through the door.

takes him half an hour with hair products & hairspray to achieve that - just outta bed look!

All home and Tony gets ready for karate, I decide not to go out again in the dark and cold. Lara builds a wind turbine (like you do) for science homework and the boys are doing whatever teenage boys do on computers (dread to think sometimes LOL). Not long and Tony is home and we are all tucking into dinner, I also managed to warm some garlic ciabatta bites without blowing the oven door off this time.......SUCCESS! Jack's been reading the Sixth Form prospectus and knows that he wants to do Business Studies, Media Studies and Economics......not sure of the fourth choice that will depend on each place he applies for. Quite impressed that he actually bothered to do some reading and research for a change!

We had recorded Waterloo Road from Wednesday and all sat and watched TV together (rarity) before I insisted on quiet while Bones was on! Fireworks had been going off all night and my stupid dogs thankfully take no notice, their ears go back and they sit to attention when a really loud one goes off, but otherwise NOT BOTHERED! Started to watch Scrubs with Jack but felt pretty tired and decided to give in at 10.15pm. Didn't take much rocking but woke at 2.30am with chronic indegestion, my own fault, we had so much garlic tonight - I apologise in advance to Tony's workmates and the kids classmates, we are not vampire slayers LOL

Couldn't leave Sean out, this was taken in Sweden in March.

Thought for today:
Each day comes bearing its own gifts. Untie the ribbons.

I'll feel a lot better if the What Now people would take pity on the brain tumour patient when playing Scrabble.....nuff said LOL

Actually I feel pretty crappy today - but no worse than anyone with a cold - well less than a man obviously ;)
