Debs Daily Deliberations 202

4 minute read time.

Wednesday and the kids really did my head in this morning, I love them dearly but they clearly do not love each other as much! Lara was doing her eco-warrior bit at her 15yo brother for using a hairdryer and straighteners.....of course he retorted with some choice names for his darling little sister. Still by 8.15am my world was peaceful, quiet and sane again. Todays photographic intermissions are from the Town Park Firework Display 2007.

I had a lovely walk to Tesco's, it was very chilly but blue skies and sunshine - a feel good day (apart from my advancing cold). Didn't buy much as the kids are going out to Pizza Hut with my sister tonight. Usually Tony and I take the opportunity to go out for dinner ourselves, but payday is Thursday so Wednesday's there is never much cash to flash (not that there ever is) and I had already bought some lovely pork fillet on Tuesday. Back home and hung out two loads of washing and actually got it dry!

Mixed tuna, mayo, red onion and cracked black pepper to fill my Granary baguette for lunch. Very nice it was too! Did the washing up, washed and blowdried my hair as we are going to look at a local sixth form tonight with Jack. Henry'd the lounge and get the laundry back in before it starts getting damp. Kids are all home and get changed to go out for dinner. Tony comes home and mopes around (his laptop has now whirred its final breath) so I let him on my desktop and "go and find something less boring to do" (anyone remember WHY DON'T YOU during the school summer holidays).

Six O'clock and my sister 'toot' outside and the kids go off happy, she lets them have whatever they want there....the younger two are particularly happy because they get to go to the 'icecream station' where they throw sweets and syrup all over vanilla icecream - I don't usually let them (meanie Mum) not that we eat there often anyway. I start cooking for just Tony and I. It seemed a shame to cut the pork fillet up to put in sweet n sour sauce so I griddled it whole and cooked some long grain rice. I warmed the sauce through and put it in a gravy boat and we just poured it over the fillet. The pork was deliciously sweet and melt in your mouth and we were able to just chat over dinner without being referee's for a change!

Got to 7.45pm and I phoned Jack to see how they were doing, he was finished, Aunty Sharon was having a cuppa tea and Sean and Lara were getting icecream. We tell him to get his jacket on and we will collect him from the 'Hut' before heading off to look around the sixth form. The headmaster seemed very young - OMG definate sign I am getting old LOL and the course choices seemed quite good and the school is easily accessible by bus so, not bad for the first one we have looked at. Back home by 9pm and we still managed to beat the littluns back, who have brought back helium balloons and proceed to 'entertain us'. The dogs are restless so we decide to take them for a quick walk around the block....oooooooooooooo chilly wasn't the word! Ollie was so funny trying to 'cock his leg' up the bushes, he was positively jumping up them. Amused me and of course, proud Mum time LOL A quick cuppa tea and some Cadbury's chocolate fingers - well I say some, lets say the whole packet disappeared pretty quick! and off to bed to nurse my stuffy nose, which of course started to run as soon as I laid down.

Thought for today:
Remember remember the fifth of November Gunpowder, treason and plot.  I see no reason why gunpowder, treason Should ever be forgot...
