Saturday and my first day of freedom from a tablet regime. Friday was fabulous and I should be feeling even better..........should be. I feel like I am singing Paula Abduls Opposites Attract song ♫ I take two steps forward - I take two steps back ♫. Once again the dreaded constipation monster has arrived at my house. You'd think after 5 cycles I would see the warning signs and remember to take the senna tablets wouldn't you......but nope the dopey old BT patient forgets and pays the price! It's true what the jokes say that the "arsehole" rules the body, when that stops working......bloated feeling, stomach ache and cramps, headache and feeling sick - worse than the chemo nausea. So if anyone hasn't caught on yet, I wasn't in a good mood. Tony was off at a karate instructors training session in Ilford, just me and the kids. Todays photo intermissions are random things, cos I am not thinking straight enough to have planned it LOL
Has the world gone mad - my mock orange plant taken Saturday!
Tony came home from work and we headed off and did some shopping, bought my bags of chocolate coins for the fabric advent calendar I still hang up for the kids (Tony reckons they are too old...bah humbug) and a Stollen Cake, as we don't really eat Christmas Cake but the kids seem to like this type better. So I have officially started my Christmas Shopping haha! Came back and Jack had the "hump" as the mate he was supposed to be staying over at, rang to say his sister didn't want any extra boys in the house that night so that was that! Lara's friend rang to say that she was going on holiday Sunday and her Mum wouldn't let her go Trick or Treating now - they had been planning this for weeks and yes its the same friend who keeps letting her down, I hope (like I do each time) that she will see the light this time! She has a little friend round the corner, a few years younger but always inviting her out, so Lara offered to take her round our street for her Mum, which the Mum seemed more than happy for and then invited Lara to a party in London Docklands that they were going to! So Lara was well happy and didn't get home till 11pm! Sean went out with his friends and came back with a huge bag of sweets and a few sherbert lollies for his dad (Tony had already told him to look out for some, cheeky bugger!).
Proud Mum bit - Lara made this Batik in her last year of primary school....first school painting to be hung up!
I settled down to watch X Factor and by now Tony had obviously been in synch with Shezbert and had downed a 'good few' glasses of Spanish red wine and started to tell us how rubbish the show was, we all moaned at him and he sloped off for a soak in the bath. He stayed there for the entire duration of the show, then came downstairs and voted for Jedward!!!!!! Must have been drunk! Olly, Lucie and Rachel were the best yesterday for me and thats all I have to say on the subject. The boys and Tony put Saw V on tv (I believe a few other WN'ers were also watching this) and I am glad my desktop faces away from the TV, I like pyschological thrillers but not sick horror....so kept my eyes firmly on my monitor screen! 11.10pm and I took two senna tablets as I was in bloody agony now and went to bed!
Lara outside our house last night!
Thought for today:
Now Autumn's fire burns slowly along the woods.
