Debs Daily Deliberations - 19

2 minute read time.
" sun is out, the sky is blue, there's not a cloud to spoil the view" What a luvverly day out there! As I sit here I can hear birds and lawn mowers and smell bacon.........yaaaaaaaaay Tony is making breakfast (which also means EVERY pan and bowl and dish has been used and left for me to clear up....booooo). I also think the entire population of Coalport Close knows that he is cooking breakfast, Tony has city and guilds in catering (even tho he is a printer now) so he thinks he is qualified to complain about EVERY piece of kitchen equipment I have grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. This is turning out to be a good weekend, we went out for brekkie yesterday and wandered round a local garden centre, came home with a big bag of poo, top soil and a pumpkin plant. I read someone else's blog that they are into planting and creativing life and I think thats the bug I have right now too. We are trying to sort our garden out and make it a place to sit and enjoy the world. Our house was brand new when we bought it and the back garden was a pile of mud. As Jack was only a year old then we had a patio laid and the rest was turfed. Its not a huge garden but enough for our 3 kids to have played in over the years. Now they go out to 'play' and Tony gets fed up with mowing the lawn, slowly over the last few years we have started to increase the borders and add bird feeders etc. The next project is a circular patio at the end of the garden (I say end like its a royal park, what I mean is 20 foot from the other patio LOL) and a pond somewhere down one edge. All this sounds great and of course I will help as much as I can, by telling him when he's doing it wrong and making the odd cuppa coffee ;) We only have a small fence between us and the next door neighbour (we are end of terrace) and the next 3 houses can see into our garden - when the houses were built we all moved in around the same time and would all sit out in the evenings, sharing wine and beer and passing kids over fences to play.......but gradually the families from the 2 bed houses have all moved and its only us here - or did they move to get away from me............NO comments needed LOL Well now I have to put my hat on everytime I go into the garden and its getting tiring, a couple of times I have stepped out and realised and had to dash back in......so I want a big fence put up so I can relax a little. I hope everyone else is having a fabulous weekend and enjoying the good weather. Thought for today: People who have no faults are terrible, there is no way of taking advantage of them ;) Anatole France

    Hi Debs,

Just got out of bed myself, looked for your blog - you know how i like to read it with my morning coffee- it's almost as good as Hello magazine.  Wandered in to chat and talked to two young men (you know who you are) - hurry Debs they may still be there.  Was off to get washed (yes, it's 1030 and I've only just got up) saw your blog and thought for a change I'll be the first to reply.

You can be honest though, the height of the fence has nothing to do with head coverings, you just can't be bothered to get to the nearest nudist beach this summer.

Now, I've let your secret out, I'm off to wash.

    Love

Great blog as per usual.  Enjoy the sunshine while we have it.  I have just been to Linconshire for a visit with my sister and her family.  A welcome break.  Forecast was for rain but 'Ha' the forecasters were wrong thank goodness.  Anyway, who cares what other people think? (Well obviously you do lol)   If you are in your own home and garden you should be able to go headbare if you want.   (Except that you might get a sunburned head).

Hope the garden transformation goes without a hitch.   To the pumpkin plant: -  Debs is quite nice really,  just let her rant a bit and you'll be fine.    But let her know when you need to be watered and fed because she has chemo brain and might forget hehehe.

    Love as always   Tricia x x x

    Tricia,

I wish I could be that bold, but only my next door neighbour even knows what I am going through so imagine the shock the rest would get thinking that Andy from Little Britain was hanging my washing out if I was out without my hat LOL

Just wanted to update our day, fabulous walk along the River Stort and a cracking BBQ to boot.

    See you all tomorrow.
