Monday and Tony had gone to work before the rest of the house rose at 7am, begrudgeonly......funny how the darker mornings are telling my body its too early to get up! Still up and making lunch, signing planners, handing out PE kit, printing out homework (nothing like last minute) and finally just after 8am its all quiet on the Perry front.
The weather was a bit grey today, so the laundry got hung on the clothes horses and the heating went on. For my walk to Tesco's today I got my winter coat out of the cupboard and a fuller black hat, not quite bakers boy style with a big bow on the side. I always thought I looked stupid in hats - those that fit, I have a little head....typical the only parts of me that are slim are my wrists and head LOL - but now I can't imagine me without a hat on!
Walked to Tesco's (gonna take a photo of that famous supermarket tomorrow to put in my blog, so you can all picture exactly where I am going. Picked up far too much again, 4 litres of milk in one bag and the biggest bottle of Comfort fabric softener in the other, watchout Popeye my "guns" will match yours soon at this rate of lifting. Kicked a few leaves up by the path on the way back, after checking no one was watching the little hatted woman struggling with shopping bags and thankfully there were no "doggy surprises" in the leaves.
Home and lunch was thick cut fresh tiger bread with Olive spread and a cuppa tea, then my little sister phoned, pretty much as soon as I got in the chatroom on here. Found I had been booted for inactivity after she finally finished yakking. My niece will be 16 on the 23rd December and my sister is thinking of going to Hyde Park Winterwonderland and paying Ella and her boyfriend and my kids to go iceskating. I used to love iceskating, from about the age of 14 my friends and I used to get on the Central Line at Loughton and travel to Queensgate on a Saturday night to skate. I can assure I will NOT be getting on the ice with the titanium bolts in my bonce now. But hopefully I will take my camera and get lots of lovely memories captured instead. Thats one thing to look forward to. Am already starting to work myself over my bloodtest on Wednesday.....bloody veins better behave and so had my neutraphyls and platelets.
Jack, Lara and Tony got home just after 3.20pm and Jack rushed around getting changed for the dentist, he was going to have the bottom braces fitted. Just after 5pm they were on there way back from Epping and Sean gets into his karate gi as he and Tony were travelling to Ilford to train. Tony has time for a coffee before they set off again and whilst drinking, the chief instructor rings to say the lesson is cancelled. Shame but everyone is quite relieved after all the rushing around etc but........I didn't buy them any dinner, they were not supposed to be here! They had a very naughty dinner indeed, sausage, bacon, egg & oven chips LOL Lara and I had a tomato and mozarella pasta bake with pesto, topped with parmesan cheese & breadcrumbs.
Normal evening here, some PS3 gametime...then fighting over who was choosing the next song to listen to on Virgin Music On Demand.....hubby found Bruce Springsteen and it was all over Watched Flash Forward and went to bed but didn't sleep too well, at least Mother Nature has come this week and not clashed with my chemo for the first time in 5 cycles! So stomach cramps all night for me!
Thought for today:
Love the moment. Flowers grow out of dark moments. Therefore, each moment is vital. It affects the whole. Life is a succession of such moments and to live each, is to succeed.
