Debs Daily Deliberations 181

4 minute read time.

Firstly I read through all the comments on yesterdays blog and I now humbly apologise to the supermarket gods if Tantan upset you by shouting out a rivals name...I promise to try and appease you by spending lots more of my husbands money in Tesco's today!

Wednesday well after only a small amount of aggro linking correct PE Kit to child and who has what sandwich (they all have different of course) and cooking waffles for their breakfast as we had run out of cereal.....peace was restored to the Perry house by 8.15am. I telephoned the karate supplier to say how worried I am that the competition is a week on Sunday and we still don't have Jack's kata gi and he needs to "wear it in"...so if they can't supply us at least let me know so we can make alternative arrangements......I heard nada back! But did text an old karate contact at another club to see if she could get me a discount (she knows the owner) on a online store that is selling the gi that Jack really wants. At the moment he wears an Italian kata gi (KO) and it took us months of searching, much money spent and many suits bought before he found one he was comfortable in and looked good on his frame ..... we got that at a steal from a friend who has family in Italy for £85, now to buy the next size up on the web is £127 plus delivery....which is a bit of an expense we could do without but, needs must and all that....anyway gonna see what our friend comes back with. Might just have to bite the bullet and buy it anyway!

I did the walk to Tesco's and found it quite cold yesterday, had my winter coat and warmer hat on but forgot my gloves. I made a quiche yesterday and we had it with salad and chips, Sean and Lara had nuggets! By the time I had bought 4 litres of milk, various tins and jars and laundry products my two bags were quite heavy - I always do that, forget I am walking and overfill my trolley. I am seriously considering one of those trollybags, as loved by the older generation and as I may never experience being part of the bus riding blue rinse brigade...I may have to get one anyway and join the club a tad earlier - OK a LOT earlier LOL Needless to say I struggled home with the shopping but it gave me a good cardio workout, so not all bad

Back home and laundry was out, washing up done and I thought about Henry'ing my stairs (we have an open plan lounge) but thinking about it was as far as I got....that walk home was enough exercise for today! I just tidied around the lounge, amazing how many bits of paper come out of my 3 kids school bags each day and get left on sofa's, coffee table, dining table, stairs need I go on!!!! Did some paper shredding, I enjoy that and paid some bills online, clickity click easy peasy puddin & pie (if only earning money was the same as spending). It was now 3.30pm and the kids start rolling in, phone goes......Lara "Mum there's a black dog on the bridle path with no owner".....me "has it got a tag on?".....Lara "Dunno its wandered off"....me "so why exactly are you phoning me?"....Lara "erm Dunno, see you in a bit". She would bring home every cat, mouse, bird, dog, frog etc etc if she could, just wish she would learn to be more of a people person LOL

Both boys are begging me for an early dinner as they are starving......fading away, ok ok enough of the dramatics boys, you are crap at it!!!!!!! Thing is, if I feed them too early they are fridge and cupboard raiding by 7pm ready for more. We have dinner and Tony takes Jack down to the local retail park to get the DS game he has been waiting to be released for months, clever Jack forgot to tell Dad he didn't have the money for the game......silly Dad didn't check before buying LOL Once they are home we put on a film to watch, its quite old but was £3 in Tesco's and better than the rubbish that was on. Extreme Measures with Hugh Grant, Gene Hackman and Sarah Jessica Parker. That took us up to almost 10pm and my bedtime, I am meeting my ex-work colleagues tomorrow for lunch at the pub and we are getting to meet Emily, room leader Sue's "surprise" baby......something to look forward to.

Just want to finish by adding my thoughts are with Pat (Pusspins) as Markus has his big final day, hope it does him justice.

Thought for today:
Love is stronger than death even though it can't stop death from happening, but no matter how hard death tries it can't separate people from love. It can't take away our memories either. In the end, life is stronger than death.

Oh Debs I recognise that, I do it too but I'm generally in the car so carrying it home isn't a problem - I tend to get a basket and then overload it, then wonder why my arm is sore!.

I keep thinking of getting a shopping trolley but like you, associate them with grannies wearing zip up grannie boots and a headscarf.  My friend Diane has given/leant me a spare bag on wheels, its lime green and it folds up - but the first couple of times I used it I forgot it had wheels - and I was lifting it. lol

There was a very trendy couple in town on Saturday with a trolley each - not matching thank goodness, that would have been too much.  And I've seen a lady with a wicker one, my nan had one of those in the outhouse - which was where the BIG spiders lived, wish we had kept it now rather than throwing it out.

You can get trendy ones, go on I dare you. Actaully that might encourage you to buy even more :o))

    Love Carol xxx

    Hi Debs,

I will forgive you for buying one of those bag trolley thingys as long as you dont hang lots of teddy keyrings from it or cover it with seaside badges :)

    Take care, Julie x
