Friday started well.....NOT Lara told me her netball skirt kept falling down?!?!?! I looked at it, size 28" waist, "your skirt was size 24" Lara, that might be why?"....."Oh wonder who's got mine?" (well whoever it is will have a bugger of a time trying to do it up LOL...like when we still convince ourselves we can get into our size 10 jeans if we lay flat on the bed...or is that just me). Finally get her sorted and write her a note to say she had her hand trodden on during the netball match the night before and her fingers are a tad sore! Then Sean can't find his planner (£6 to replace them) and we hadn't been out and bought him rugby boots, so another letter done . Jack was pretty much the easiest today and I finally get Jack and Sean out of the door when Lara picks up a folded piece of paper and says "Isn't this Sean's letter and copy of his timetable?".....Lara says she will take it into school and find Sean....just at that moment a flustered Sean comes back having remembered he forgot (does that make sense LOL) his stuff!!!!! 8.10am and it was just me and the dogs but I already feel like I have run a half-marathon.
Put the wheelie bin and gather all the last bags of rubbish together for collection. Hang out some washing and get the next lot on. Washed and dressed and on my way to Tesco's around 9.30am with instructions from Tony he wants a burger tonight (great add that on top of the way I have been munching the last few days due to no What Now I will be a blimp) so, said burgers and buns bought (wholemeal baps for me), finest Pancetta strips, fake plastic nasty shiny cheese for Tony & Jack (ewww do I make it clear I don't like it perhaps), mayonnaise and shitake mushrooms. Grab a bag of their finest beer battered onion rings too.
Hang out more washing, do the washing up and clean all the sides in the kitchen before making myself a bacon and mushroom roll with tomato sauce, it went down smoothly with a cuppa tea. Refuelled and on with vacuuming the downstairs and removing all the glass placemats from the dining table, giving them a good wash, anti-baccing the table before polishing it and returning said glass placements.......sparkly clean TINGGGGGGGGGGG. Was just finishing the drying up in the kitchen when Tony came home from work (finishes early on a Friday) and the kids start drifting in....Lara had got her netball skirt back and Sean had found his planner....the day is getting better!!!!! We have dinner and I wash up straight away not wanting to mess up my showhouse Tony and I popped out to look at mattresses for the boys room and bought a metal dustbin with holes (does it have a name?) for burning stuff in.....we had a lot of paperwork with bank details and addresses that we wont recycle and had ourselves a good bonfire - once everyone's washing was in of course - we are good neighbours
I settled in front of my computer and the boys starting rocking out to Guitar Hero and I was soooooo missing What Now, thank goodness for Facebook or madness would have surely taken me over - for those of you who don't already believe I am .....so I played some scrabble and wandered lonely like a cloud over the internet and couldn't believe my luck around 8.30pm to find an email from Macmillan telling me to click the link and reset my password. A few minutes later I had another email which enabled me to reset said password and I noticed my username was back to Debs_P when I dropped the P before the changeover to _Debs.....I am thinking they used the Share names.....I registered but couldn't work the site out so never went back! So I am in the door and look around, I spot Sammieo - yaaaaaaay a friendly face! I don't want to moan cos I've been so lost without this place, but it is going to take a LOT of getting used to. Like the fact posts take a while to show up....I found I had 103 private messages, which you have to delete "one by one" boring......would rather mark the ones I wanna delete and one click pooooooooooooooooooof, couldn't we do that before?? The new chatroom is a bit funky - once I could get in - took 15mins for the page to load (sheer weight of numbers?!?!) but I do like the fact that you can have several people in a private chat, kinda like a private party within the chatroom....had to remind the people I was with that I didn't drive and therefore didn't have any keys to throw in the bowl
The chatroom was very busy and there some familiar names and some who'd changed/or had their name changed and some completely new.....was all a bit much for me as I was getting tired....the family were all taking part in the Derren Brown experiment, which failed - mostly due to Ollie going nuts and jumping all over them and not understanding why they wouldn't play or move LOL So outta chat and nosed around the site some more and it was time for bed.
I am glad to be back - sorry its a pretty boring blog for a starter - will have to get the hubby to do something exciting this weekend and hope the admins change my name over soon for me by dropping the P. At least the new site is a challenge to work out, understand and keep my brain active. Oh did anyone else think its weird you can use a font called terminal on here - ironic or what!!!!!!!!
Just had to update my blog as I've just learned that one of the nicest teaching assistants at my kids old primary school has just passed away from double lung cancer and secondaries. She was a truly beautiful person, inside and out and only in her mid 40's.....Peace be the journey Lyn xxxx
