Debs Daily Deliberations - 13

1 minute read time.
Afternoon petals!!!!!!!!!!!! What a glorious bank holiday weekend, so far! As I write this I can smell the neighbours BBQ cooking (mmmmmmmmmmm) and hear kids playing out in the sunshine......everything is just as it should be. We had a fabulous time at The Grove, the demonstration was open to Spa Members children and any child currently at the Creche facilities. My children together with Tony (long suffering husband LOL) and our good friend Paul kept the children engaged for an hour. We were in the walled gardens and out on the grass, I was sat on a chair with camera in hand, tiring watching all those punches and kicks you know ;) After that Tony and Paul went off and took a class in the spa for the hotel employee's while Paul's wife and I sat in the conservatory out of the direct sun. Jack, Sean and Lara took little persuasion to get changed and were in the outside pool within minutes. Lunch was provided, I was not very adventurous but had a delicious chicken ceasar salad. We all sat around talking for a bit and headed home around 3pm. We stopped at "World of Water" which had so many preformed ponds to chose from I left more confuddled than ever LOL (no I dont need to know how many of you think thats a permanent state of mind for me!) However, we do know what sort and size we want.........just gotta do it (or supervise) now. Today has been a lazy day, went shopping and bumped into the chief instructor at our club, him being iranian we were promptly offered (more like told LOL) to come round for coffee............this stretched into a full iranian cooked breakfast, with lots of iranian tea and biscuits etc................got home at 2pm and certainly didnt need any lunch. They have such a way for entertaining, his wife constantly feeds you and you absolutely can not say NO! Hope everyone else is having a great weekend. Thought for today: Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared. Buddha

While I was sampling the iranian tea, Vince (one of his many birds) flew down and settled on my shoulder.  He then started to peck at my hair and hat, at this point I started to panic.........OMG my half bald head is going to be unceremoniously unveiled by an african grey parrot!!!!!!!

I made several whimpery noises and thankfully his owner came and removed said bird from said shoulder before I could say "garrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, pieces of eight"
