Debs Daily Deliberations 127

Friends, Romans & Countrymen........lend me your ears.....Tony keeps complaining that I am deaf!!!!!!! I got to sleep in until....drum roll please........8.30am a real, proper certified bloody lie-in. Mind you, we went to bed early as Tony has been having to start work early all week, a few months ago the whole company was on the brink of collapse...now they have more work than they can shake a stick at. 1.30am and Lara is standing in our bedroom yelling "Dad Dad....please come there's a huge spider in my bed and I can't sleep".....apparently she woke up and it was on her leg (ewwwww I hate spiders I do) Tony did say it was a pretty big bugger actually.......so that dealt with, we snuggle down.....then the boys decide its time for bed and we have to listen to the bathroom light going on and off and the flush.....water running.........arghhhhh shut up !!!!!!!! Anyway, Tony was at work again this morning and me and the boys (dogs) got to sleep in. He comes home around 11.30am and we head off to grab some groceries......via the garden centre as I really want my "grasslands" area planted up......its really just a border with grasses but amazing what images you can conjur up with the right words eh LOL On the way out of the garden centre is a table all set up and manned by Macmillan.......I go over and empty my purse - £2 or £3 in change to say thank you for the grant towards my wig....the woman is interested to hear about my wig (which I dont wear LOL) and tells me she gives talks on grants...and that she only hears of holidays, accommodation etc....but really pleased to hear about my wig and wishes me well. I leave smiling. Usually I avoid the legalised mugging outside shops...but not today! Anyway I decide to make chicken and harvati cheese pannini's for lunch.....we buy everything and get home......carve the chicken.......get the garlic mayo and wholegrain mustard out......where's the pannini's..........nope couldn't find them.......weren't on our receipt so at least we didn't pay for them and forget them......dopey checkout chick was more interested in "sniffing her hair" whats that all about ......than serving us....probably still on the conveyor belt. So I just make toasted sarnies instead. Next we head out into the garden to do the border - I say we....its the royal we, Tony mows the grass first and then starts digging me a new border......I make the obligatory coffee and cold drinks and encourage him (after all I want it finished today lol).....he gets 3/4 of it done and planted.....I guess that will do. Dinner is pic n mix: nacho's, kebabs, chili prawns, samosa's, halloumi, pitta bread and mussels in garlic. We eat in the garden as its looking so nice out there and the weather is good. Tony is taking a well earned (and much needed) bath after all that work, Lara is watching Drillbit Taylor and she is laughing so I guess its funny! Tomorrow we really have to buy school shoes and then we plan on heading down to the River Stort with the dogs and Lara and a picnic...Tony and Lara will fish, I will take photographs.........if the weather plays nice. Hope all is well with my friends on What Now. Thought for today: Gardening is a matter of your enthusiasm holding up until your back gets used to it. Author Unknown

I've gone home with my shopping and thought "wheres (such a thing)". I've paid for countless items that I've never brought home. Sainsburys must be making a fortune out of me. Doesn't help that the cashier fires the items down the line faster than anything! Stuff flying all over the place

Hope you have a good day today

    p.s. spiders.........ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
