Debs Daily Deliberations 125

2 minute read time.
Good morning lovely people of What Now, Yesterday I was rudely awakened by Dexter scratching at Ollie's crate at 6.06am - Ollie was fast asleep on the bed....I kinda moaned at him to stop. He repeated this action and then promptly started to gag......got as far as halfway down the stairs and puked!!!!! Nice Dexter, good morning to you too. "The boys" had gone bin diving last night and guess what the kids had - roast chicken.......I am now panicking thinking he has a chicken bone stuck in his throat. Let them into the garden and for the next hour Dexter continues to throw up, but makes it outside each time (thankfully). They both settle back to sleep and I go upstairs to get washed and dressed. Whilst in the bedroom I walk round hubbies side of the bed and find a nice little pile of puke with chicken bones in it........hubby either stepped over it or was bloody lucky not to step in at 5am when he got up! Phone rang just after 9am and it was Kim my NON......finally they ring back on day 3.......she explains that Emma doesn't think its anything sinister and that I am more than likely one of the patients who's brain swells each time they are on the Temodar® - which is good, its working......and that although they are weaning me off the steroids at the moment, I may either have to go back on each cycle.....or have them upped during the cycle. Phewwwww mind you the headaches stopped on Tuesday anyway LOL Couldn't go to Tesco's till one of the kids got up as I didn't want to leave Dex.....so that happened around 10am. Walked to Tesco's in the light rain, it was actually really nice - not having to worry about my hair and all. Grabbed the groceries and walked back in the rain too, kept me cool. By this time both dogs were much livelier and Dex had stopped puking. The rain turned into really heavy showers so no washing could be dried - great, I have tons of it - not sure exactly how the basket gets filled EVERYDAY but it does and to be honest, I am only happy when I can hear my washing machine going! So dinner........I did salmon, rice and veggies for the kids and for Tony and myself I cooked a sweet red pepper, mature cheddar and goats cheese quiche or flan whatever you want to call it - we had it with potatoe wedges and salad......lovely but I had more than a "me sized" portion but hey. I was all washed up and cleared away by 7pm and put Tony's dinner in the microwave as he was teaching karate. This weekend, we are off out looking at sturdier bins - dog proof, especially now as they are a tag team!!!!! I heard back from the larger of the two local papers about our karate submission and it looks like Tony's club grading might actually make it into the paper - although the reporter asked who the younger female blackbelt was - ahemmmmmm thats my SON - he then said, oh no hang on its a young lad around 18yo.........NO he's 15, stick with the local rag mate, you'll never hit the bigtime LOL Hope everyone has a wonderful day in their corner of paradise! Thought for yesterday: We must learn our limits. We are all something, but none of us are everything. Blaise Pascal

    Morning Debs

I've had the same problem with my dog rummaging in the bin. I bought a Brabantia bin which has been the best thing I ever did. Yes they're expensive, but they are completely dog proof, and they come with a long guarantee. By the way, I'm not on commission!

Debs,  would you like to come and sort out my house please.  You don't seem to have enough to occupy you these days lol  Hope Dexter soon recovers x x  p.s. if the dogs went "bin diving" here they would starve lol

Have a look at my dogs on my profile, the two reprobates who, despite being naughty much of the time, have kept me relatively sane during the last year. The dachshund is at least 16 years old but shows no sign of age. They give me a reason to get up in the morning, Jean goes to work and leaves me to 'sort them out'. Ha Ha !! more like they sort me out.

    Big hugs, Bill xxx
