Debs Daily Deliberations 124

2 minute read time.
OK my dedicated followers of the glamorous lifestyle of a brain tumour patient on one wage! Well I know I left you with a cliff hanger.........and yes I am feeling better today, probably just as well because my NON and onc still haven't phoned me back. Am assuming its because its not urgent and I am fine........but I am NOT phoning and chasing. Anyway headache free and two loads of washing done and hung out I head off to Tesco's to boost their profits, uneventful shop and I managed to pick up a nice black and pink "punky fish" despatch bag for Lara as her new school bag. Now a funny thing happened on the way home - ok it wasn't funny exactly......I mean I came within an inch or two of a car bumper whilst crossing the road. I had pushed the button....the green man lit up and I heard "beep beep beep" and started to cross, was almost across when a woman driving a MPV screeched to a halt within inches of my Tesco's finest reusable shopping bag - she was on her mobile!!!! She called out sorry and after almost poo'ing my knickers.....I carried on. So what was funny - it just reminded me of how everyone says that when you tell people you have a shortened life expectancy they comeback with "well, you could get run over tomorrow"......so at least I've got that one out of the way LOL I will just add, that I don't intend to go out in any thunderstorms, I know they say lightning doesn't strike twice - but I am not gonna risk it !!!!!!! I stupidly ventured into the bio-hazard otherwise known as Lara's bedroom.....OMG I swear there are new species hiding in there. I have probably exposed my immuno-suppressed body to a plethera of new germs. I spent over an hour hanging up clothes and folding and putting back in draws and when I came out, it looked as messy as when I went in!!!!!! Dinner was in two sittings, roast chicken and veg for Sean & Lara, turkey pasta bake for Jack, Tony & I which I added the left over roast veggies from last night (I hate waste). I am now totally shattered......yes I know I should be resting this week after chemo....allowing my blood to recover but I am eating banana's so at least my potassium should be ok. Tune in for more madness and mayhem tomorrow - can you stand the excitement !!!!!!!!!!! Thought for today: Yesterday I dared to struggle. Today I dare to win. Bernadette Devlin

Aren't they binding?  Like rice and cheese.  I believe oranges are full of potassium, also...

One good thing...the body talks to a person via aches/pains, etc.  We (me) just have to listen, lol.  Very happy you were h/a free today.  I go in for my chemo tomorrow...whoohoo!  I admire your cooking skills.  :)
