Morning All,
Well yesterday morning I gave in and phoned Kim my NON and she was going to speak to Emma my onc after their MDT conference meeting. I gave her my mobile number as I wanted to go to Tesco's and get some fresh air - well I wanted groceries too of course, Kim did say that they have two other "gentlemen" at Queens who suffer brain swelling while they are on Temodar and I could be one of those patients also affected by that side-effect and you just have to learn to live with it........great!!!!!
I go to Tesco's and buy dinner, lamb chops, jacket potato's with soured cream (reduced fat) broccoli and some veg for roasting. I come home and order some printed table cloths for the karate clubs, make lunch for the kids and wash up. I also do the two write ups for the local papers about the karate grading - hoping to get a little exposure for the club and of course what parent doesn't like seeing their son/daughter get into the newspaper! Spend some time with the dogs and all the time checking my mobile......no call :(
By 7.30pm last night I realised I wasn't going to get that call back, although my sister did call all irate that they hadn't phoned me back and spouting how important it is...blah blah blah..... I watch tv while she's on the phone and occassionally say "yeah.....I know" interspersed with her ranting - I could almost hear her blood pressure rising. I explain that its no good for me to "lose it" so I try to let it go.....another 10 mins of her putting the NHS to rights and I get her off the phone LOL I shouldn't laugh, I know she loves me.......but she gets so worked up......Chillax sis!
Walk the dogs, watch tv and head to bed with same dull headache that I woke with...............will it be gone tomorrow?? Tune in folks, you know you are riveted LOL

Hope the headache has gone away, but if not, I hope you'll ring the SNON again. God, it's so frustrating when you are expecting a call back and you get let down.
Hope you get your call back today! Where do you get your energy from ? lol. You always seem to have so much to write about. I love reading your daily deliberations!
and you got the call (what's a NON ?). My 2 have just gone off to Karate - Shotokan style tho (not sure if we're supposed to talk or not, lol) There seem to be sooo many different styles - no wonder it's not an olympic sport!
