Debs Daily Deliberations 122

2 minute read time.
Morning All, Yesterday started with another background headache and slight nausea put at bay with my cocktail of steroids and paracetamol (I will be phoning my SNON later) followed by a little "spat" with the hubby. Being of exactly the same age, we are both stubborn - him refusing to apologise and me knowing he wouldn't, refusing to backdown LOL The not speaking went on for about 2 hours after which he generally assumes I will, if not forgiven him, just carry on as normal. I know we all say we want to seize the day and make the most of everything but sometimes arguements are part of normal married life. It wasn't a biggie - can't remember how it started now either - but it happened and we got over it as we always do. We headed off to his karate club grading - all the little white belts lined up - they range from 5yrs to 11 yrs - did their grading and all passed with distinction! The beams on the childrens faces were matched equally by those of their parents. I took a photo for the website and will submit it to our two local newspapers, then we headed back upstairs for sandwiches, biscuits and chocolate! As the club is new we wanted to start by creating a strong bond between students, parents, instructors and each other. Where our children train the social side is a little weak, the same families help organise etc (oh wonder who they might be!) and at xmas functions etc the parents all sit in little cliques.....I know we might not be able to overcome that totally but as much as possible. That done Tony, Paul (his club co-founder) his wife, Tom an adult from the Association we belong to (and where my children train) Jack our eldest and meeeeee went to a nearby hotel for a well deserved drink. Tom left to visit his MIL in hospital and Jack wanted to go home, so Tony ran him home while Paul, Sheila and myself headed into the hotel to order dinner. We were only having the carvery which at £7.50 we thought was not a bad price at all. It was delicious, the meat tender, the roast potato's not frozen, vegetables fresh and a good variety. We were the last to leave, after finding we had chatted for hours! Home and Tony got on with relocating the compost bin (ewwwwwwwwww) I stayed inside for that one. I was pretty tired, I am supposed to be taking it easy you know ;) Fed the dogs, walked the dogs, fed the kids, watched tv and collapsed into bed very very tired. Thought for yesterday: Make today blossom in the manner most appropriate to the person you uniquely are! Daisaku Ikeda

It must be something to do with a Sunday as I had a spat with Loggy last night, like you and Tony it was soon forgotten about.  Ours was because I want to cut my hours at work to spend more time with him.  His argument is if we want to holiday and carry on with the bucket list then I have to work!!

OK so I have booked flights to go see his brother & SIL in France in Oct, Family holiday with all 5 of us to Tenerife in Nov, London Theatre Break in Feb (Bucket List- Always said we'd do but never done yet) , Tenerife again in April, and Scotland back end of May beginning of June and I am looking at ticking one other thing off the list which is cruising Alaska & Panama canal (If can get Insurance).

So Whats the problem.  : - ) Told the girls in the cyto office that we had spat and one said Oh you didn't, Told her yes we can still have spats it is allowed,

Anyway the boys have said real reason is "its because you'd do his head in".  probably right!!!

Tony is lucky I have never driven (a car) anything except him up the wall.

Shez, adopt me......I wanna come too, we were looking at just going away with the kids for a weekend but even that seems too expensive!

Yes the odd argument is proof we are still living normal lives, I don't believe anyone who says they NEVER argue or have a disagreement - how boring they must be LOL

Waiting for my NON Kim to speak to my onc about my headaches - apparently Temodar can cause swelling of the brain for some patients!

Laters, I am off to Tesco's.

No spats for me (only person to fight with is myself  -  OUCH!!!!  just hit myself lol) .  For someone who is supposed to be taking things easy you seems to lead a very busy life debs.  maybe I should pinch some of your determination and resolve (mine has run away).  Please buy me something nice in Tesco's x x x
