Debs Daily Deliberations 117

3 minute read time.
? If you like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain ? After I switched off the computer last night due to my hand hurting, we watched The Rock in Game Plan, kinda reminded of an old film "Curly Sue" with James Belushi, still it passed the time and we laughed quite a bit. Well I got to sleep in until 7.45am - oh yeah baby!!!!!!! (sound like bloomin Austin Powers now) OK Ollie did wake at 2.35am due to the eldest being the loudest at being quiet when going to the loo! We were both really tired so just reached down and lifted Ollie up onto the bed......yes we said we wouldn't but hey ho its like when the kids were babies, whatever lets you sleep! Dexter looked absoslutely disgusted with us as he slept at the bottom of the bed, whereas Ollie made himself very comfortable between Tony and I. Bet I have trouble getting him into his crate tonight though! My hand doesn't look too bruised but by golly its still very sore today, to the point it hurts to hold things, or put any weight through it. Stuck to the tablet regime, anti-nausea and anti-seizure tablet.....followed an hour later by the poison.....no matter how much water I swallow the awful taste rises back to my mouth even whilst glugging. I forgot to mention yesterday that I didn't feel any nausea until 6.30pmish....so I popped a couple of domperidon, hopefully cutting down to from 6 to 2 will mean that the other parts of the body will remain regular too! We are having curry today and the song reference up above is about dinner. Knowing I was on chemo this week and not wanting to overdo it this time round and lose the weekend after sleeping - I put my hands up and admit to buying a prepared sauce, it was new by Sharwoods Pinapple & Coconut a mild to medium sauce. I was a bit worried that we would be having Turkey Pina Colada Curry lol I prepared my East Meets West Potato's and also a Gobi Aloo Saag style dish, potato's cauliflower & spinach in spices, so it wasn't all shop bought but I cheated on the Naan Bread too. We finished off the Tiramasu Icecream Dessert that was left over from yesterday. Whilst dishing dinner up I started to feel a little nauseaus but tried drinking ginger beer to abate it.......worked for a bit, but its now 9pm and I think I will take a couple of Domperidon......again, only 2 instead of 6 today. Middle son (Sean 13) was grounded today for losing his temper with his younger sister (Lara 11) to be honest, its a case of six of one and half a dozen of the other with those two, but when he started hitting her......I almost lost it! Usually I cave in with groundings (see I want them to remember me as a lovely mum not the moaning nagging kind) but today I stood strong, so after realising I wasn't going to budge, he played on the wii, went on his netbook and then decided on a movie marathon, Austin Powers, Turner & Hooch (love that film) and then the whole family watched the Breakfast Club, Tony and I laughed about how our kids were engrossed in a film that we watched not much older than Jack ourselves!!! Tony is off doing karate at his adult only class tonight, Jack's back in his bedroom - shock horror - after making his old mum a cuppa, Lara is in the bathroom getting ready for bed, Sean is watching Ghost Whisperer...ahhhhh my normal life. I really like todays quote. Thought for today: A hearty laugh gives one a dry cleaning, while a good cry is a wet wash. Puzant Kevork Thomajan

You know when I write what I think is quite boring compared to some of the creative writing we see on here, I mean I can't drive, I am stuck at home with 3 kids (god help me!) doesn't make for the most exciting blogs does it LOL  Yet at least it strikes a chord with some.  Oh Dev I so know what you mean, I have let mine off grounding before just for some peace and quiet of my own LOL

I think there's a few more people living in Essex on here - guess not everyone wants to shout that out - my first name on here was Essex_Debs but the jokes kept coming in the chatroom so I changed it - CHICKEN LOL

I think the fact that our blogs are different is why people read them. They are real, how we feel, life's trials and tribulations. Our smiles and our tears. When I read all the blogs on here, and I think I do read every one, it helps me put my own cancer into perspective. It reminds me that I'm not the only one going through this. It helps a lot.

I can also steal some of your great food ideas!!

    ching ching  :-)
