Debs Daily Deliberations 113

3 minute read time.
Morning All, Forgive me father for I forgot to blog last night!!!!!!!!! Friday started early - thanks Tony/Ollie, I struggled to get Lara out of bed, the late nights and summer school are catching up her. I don't want to send to her bed early as its the school holidays or put her off her last week at the new secondary school's 2 week course. She is making new friends, seeing the "fun" side of school, meeting teachers and getting an idea of the layout - wish we had that......just dumped off on the first day and left to "survive" lol. Her friend phoned at 9.30pm the night before to say she wasn't going on Friday - going out for a girly day out instead - so bigger brother to the rescue again (for another £2). When Sean got back, he curled up on the sofa with the dogs and I headed off to Tesco's "wont be long, haven't got to get much".......famous last words, the world and their neighbours were in the shop and I got stopped in nearly every aisle "haven't seen you for ages, hows the treatment going" - "you look well" - you guys know the drill. Two hours later!! I am home with my goodies and Sean goes out to play. I had taken a batch of my Chili Pork & Beef Meatballs out of the freezer and they were ready to be rolled in flour and browned before going into the oven in a garlic and passata sauce. I had hung two loads of laundry out, washed up, prepared dinner and vacuumed the lounge all before 1pm, I am beginning to wonder how I ever fitted in work too!!!!!!! Tony got home just after 2pm and we headed straight off to Romford on my "poison run". Was pretty clear and we arrived around 3pm to find a very quiet oncology department - they shut early on a Friday - I told reception I was there to pick up my pharmacy ticket - blank faces! Anyway finally meet up with sister double-barrel surname who hands me my purple pharmacy ticket, allowing me to saunter down and just walk up and get it, no waiting - how very thoughtful. However, she still checks AGAIN with Emma that she doesn't want to see me. We head off to the pharmacy and I feel like a queue jumper, all these patients sitting around waiting for their ticket number to come up and I waltz right up - in fact one woman did tell me I had to go to the desk round the corner first.....but I have a golden ticket - ok its purple but you get my drift ;) No joke, my pills, potions and poison do indeed turn up in a carrier bag! The pharmacist tells me to meet her round the side as there's no way my drugs will fit through the small slot and will have to be handed through the door! As we are walking back to oncology, sister double-barrel is walking towards us "oh you've got it, understand it all?" she just wanted to make sure - excellent service. At this point Kim my SNON appears looking very glam out of uniform, hair down and makeup on and positively towering over myself and sister double-barrel who is also under 5ft......."Debs just wanted to go through the pills again with you" ok ok I got it wrong the first month, took the chemo & then the anti-nausea, rather than anti-nausea and then chemo but I understand it now. She jokes that if I start to feel really sick perhaps I should just do it "my way" lol Also warns me the lactose solution tastes absolutely foul....great, am looking forward to that now yum yum! Do dinner, send hubby off to karate - both boys decide to give it a miss, the early lesson is made up of kids from as young as 2 years old (hubby only takes them from 5yo at his club) and Jack at 15yo is "allergic" to littluns LOL I wash up from dinner and came on here for a little chat, was quite busy in there as usual for the evenings. Walked the dogs, more tv and bed.......getting excited about our anniversary lunch out. Thought for today: You can't deny laughter; when it comes, it plops down in your favorite chair and stays as long as it wants. Stephen King, Hearts In Atlantis

Happy Anniversary Debs to you and your other half.  Hope you've by now had a wonderful lunch and enjoy the rest of your day.  I'm staggered by how much of everything you fit in! I'm going out to dinner tonight, a reward to myself for keeping to the diet the rest of the week.

    lots of love, marly xx

Glad you had a good day yesterday Debs. The weather in 1992 as you say, was perfect for getting married, scorching hot and nothing like yesterday. I wondered if we might have shared the same year, going by the age of your children!! The sun shine certainly shone on the righteous that day!!

    Take care......
