Debs Daily Deliberations - 11

1 minute read time.
Afternoon, Phase 1 of radiotherapy DONE, DUSTED, OVER! Phase 2 begins tomorrow and only 8 days left to go. I was a little bit disappointed today however, when I asked the RT team how they celebrate going into the new phase.........fireworks, balloons, cake - NOPE, NADA, NUFFINK!!!! Well, how very dare they LOL Got dropped off at the town today so that I could buy the kids some new swimwear, on Saturday we are going to the fabulous Grove Hotel (same one as featured on the England Squads comic relief sketch) - where my kids will be part of a karate demonstration. We have been a few times and always get treated to lunch and the kids can use the spa pool (outside) for some fun and apparently there is a BBQ lined up too. Now this all sounds fab right - well that probably means it will rain!!!!! Decisions, decisions, do I wear my new wig (and yes I have been brave enough to add a photo as per Carols request, who am I deny her a little laugh!!!!) or just go with the hat (which may look a bit understated there, if you know what I mean) or do I wear the wig and take the hat in case I can't stand it for too long, oh my poor confused brain!!!!!!!!!!! Judith, please tell your husband that I am actually taking inspiration from YOU today, Thursdays is hubby's new karate club night (which he runs with our friend Paul, the security manager from the Grove) so we need quick and easy meal tonight and are having spag bol - with fresh pasta cos my kids are spoilt and refuse to eat the dried stuff "its not the same" hmmmm well if we dont qualify for benefits and I don't return to work, they may well have to get used to it LOL Thought for today "Close your eyes and imagine where you want to be. Imagine the complete journey you need to take in order to get there. Now go pack. Your reservations have been made." Michelle Ustaszeski (b.1969)

Well technically I can't have a celebratory drink till tomorrow to celebrate the new phase as had chemo yesterday, but will raise a glass of something to celebrate and have a cuppa and a choccie bic today.

Love, love, love the wig especially the way it curls round at the front, it looks beautiful and worth every penny.  I think take both wig and hat, if that make you feel more comfortable.  Have a fab day on Saturday.

    Love

    Carol xx

Great wig Debs.    Hat or wig? wear what you want is the answer.    Enjoy yourself though (that is an order lol).   I will help you celebrate the new phase by drinking bitter lemon (not an alcohol lover) x x x p.s. Checked out your pics.    You have a lovely family you must be so proud x x x

    Hi Debs

Me, being dopey, have spent ages looking for the photo of the wig, I thought that one was your real hair so I am well impressed.  You wear whatever you feel comfortable i, go naked if you want - although the children may not agree!

Glad I helped you with some inspiration for tonight's meal, still leaves me in the dark though!  Never mind, I'll hunt something out of the freezer.

    Love

    Judith
