Debs Daily Deliberations 101

3 minute read time.
Evening All, Tony started the day by stating on facebook that "he was better at getting Ollie to lie-in than Debs"........war!!!!! Of course I wittily retorted on my facebook that as "Tony thinks he is Caesar Milan he should deal with Ollie EVERYDAY"........and this set the course of stupidness for the day LOL Actually they were all due at karate squad training at 10am so I had gotten all gi's and drinks ready when Sean (middle son) tells us he is going to tell Sensei he is quitting.......now this is a very sad moment, Sean was the clubs youngest blackbelt passing his Shodan a few months after his 10th Birthday and the chief instructor has always had a soft spot for him. Without being biased, we have a bookcase FULL of trophy's, Sean has been medalling at national level since he was 8 years old, he has just earnt a badge for his school blazer in karate too! To say I am upset is an understatement - but I do understand, summer is here and he wants out with his friends.....he can't grade to 2nd Dan until he is 16 so 3 years gone and 3 to go....is a long time doing the same syllabus. I am secretly keeping my fingers crossed that he will change his mind. I felt like I was doing the hokey cokey with the washing today, in out in out shake it all about!!!!!!!!! when it wasn't raining the wind was fab and I got 4 loads dry. Tony built Jack a new computer table - by which I mean he bought the wood and used some old brackets and constructed one of his own....not a flat pack - did an excellent job too! He moved shelves and wardrobes and generally finished off re-arranging their room. All that is left to do now is the rest of the coving and then we can wallpaper - and you know that when I say we.....its the royal "we" I just supervise LOL I cooked Roast Chicken with all the trimmings today and after staring at the disgusting dark chocolate I had bought to boost my potassium level, I decided to have a go at making profiteroles. I just needed some whipping cream and golden syrup for the choccy sauce. Lara quickly volunteered to pop to Tesco's, she starts secondary school in September and is quite old enough I was told!!!!!!!She had her mobile phone and I checked on her, every 5 seconds LOL I followed the recipe to the T for a change (I am not usually good with recipes preferring my own idea's) until I got to the choccy sauce, this I made in a glass jug in the microwave rather than stirring for ages over a low heat on the stove. It worked a treat......the most delicious choccy sauce in 40 seconds!!!!!! The profiteroles were a hit, I will definately be cooking those again........everyone was "oohing" and "ahhhhhhing" throughout, success on a plate. Feeling quite stuffed and fat, we walked the dogs.....Tony had Dexter and I had Ollie with Lara skipping along too...I knew she was itching to walk the pup and as I just needed to walk for exercise I let her have the lead - she beamed the entire walk - ah the little things LOL I am hoping that Kim my SNON (specialist neuro-oncology nurse) phones tomorrow with a new appointment for me to collect my poison - the sooner the better! COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to finish off and go and watch Kingdom my gentle finish to a good weekend. Thought for the day: We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
