Debs Daily Deliberations 100

3 minute read time.
My centennial deliberation, imagine party poppers, silly string and fireworks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today started very early at 5.23am to be precise, Ollie woke and was crying in his crate......I fumbled for my slippers, put on my "Harrahs Reno" bathrobe that my friend from the good ol' US of A sent me, stuffed my mobile in the pocket, scooped up Ollie and carefully came downstairs albeit bleary eyed. Grabbed my hat off the back of the sofa - although god knows who would be peering into my garden at 5.30am to catch me un-hatted and half bald with more and more 5 o'clock shadow appearing.......BUT.....Ollie just about made it onto the lawn when he did the biggest pee EVER. Bladder emptied he trotted back into the lounge and promptly curled back up in his basket and went back to bed until 8am....me, once I am awake thats it......there's no going back!!!!!! So I had two cups of tea, caught up with yesterday's blog and browsed the net for promotional banners for the karate club while the rest of the world lay sleeping. Its actually a very beautiful time of the day I think, it has a calmness, broken only by the birds singing. Tony gets up at 8am along with Dexter and gradually the children filter down too. Lara makes toast for everybody and scrambled egg for her and Jack......I decide to treat myself to a bacon sarnie - which I have to cook!!!!! Washing up done, bed stripped and washing on the go we head out and do some grocery shopping. Back home and put it all away (I hate that bit I do)...Tony heads into the depths of the boys bedroom to rearrange and start decorating. Before long we have take Lara into town to a Quasar party and we go tv hunting.....a flat screen for the boys room which came up £30 cheaper than the advertised price - not bad eh.....it gets better.....while Tony is buying boring old wood and screws and stuff, I wander down the wallpaper aisle, Jack has already said he wants blue and cream and as usual Sean is out with friends and he's pretty easy going so won't mind whatever - I find a light blue textured wallpaper with a matching cream roll with a blue motif on it..........reduced to .....................................£1 yep £1 a roll and if that wasn't enough, it was 10% off day in Homebase......so I get 8 rolls of wallpaper for £7.20 unbelievable. Back home and I make sure the boys approve - which they do, so well happy. Dinner is always pix n mix on Saturday night and tonight we had Spanish/Greek....calamari with fresh aoli, spanish omlette with bacon, paella, roasted veggies with feta cheese, pitta bread, haloumi, houmous and tatziki. It was bloody lovely but rather filling and there was quite a bit left over, especially as I had catered for 4 and Sean phoned to say that his friends dad (who is Turkish) had taken them all to his friends cafe and they had cooked them a full English - at 5.30pm and he didn't want dinner!!!!!!! A big thank you to KERRIE, she knows why xx I am sure you all remember how Ollie upset Mummy VERY MUCH by digging up her beloved Iris.....and said Iris was lovingly replanted in tall pot.....somehow the little sod managed to climb into Tony's strawberry trough and up into my pot....because Lara found him once again running around with my Iris bulb/corn whatever in his mouth!!!!! He is one determined little bugger eh! It is now replanted and has a wire mesh over the pot.....lets see how he works around that. I am now down to 2mgs of steroids each day now and everyone can sleep with both eyes closed again. Off to finish watching Lee Evans on the tv....good old Essex Boy ;) Is everyone keeping up with the jetset lifestyle of a brain tumour patient on a single wage?????? Thought for today: There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. Carl Jung
