Teri contacted me in the early hours of this morning to tell me, 'with heavy heart that Bert passed away after fighting so hard for 18 months'.

Bert did indeed fight so very hard over the last 18 months and what more valiant soldier could he have had by his side? No one could have done more than Teri and I know she is so grateful for the support of all her many friends on this site. I know we will all be wishing her well at this time, whilst of course hoping that Bert is now finally at peace.

Please join me in wishing Teri and her family strength and courage at this time, whilst sending them our love, hugs and any support we can offer.

Teri, everyone has said it all already. What a long and weary battle you have both endured. May Bert find eternal peace & rest.

To Teri - you have been a wonderful devoted wife to your lovely husband Bert. I am sure he was grateful for the many long hours you sat with him during this difficult time. Such is love. I know you felt these past few days were torturous to have to watch his suffering. Now Bert is at peace and cannot hurt anymore.

There is nothing I can say to make this better but as always you are in my thoughts.
