I increased David's steriods upto 6mg, he stayed awake the whole day and we had a wonderful time.
I borrowed my disabled sisters wheelchair so David didn't have to walk, though he still found it tiring watching the children running around.
My other sister and her husband came with us, and she drove which was great as I didn't have to concentrate on driving and wasn't so tired and could relax and enjoy the day.
I managed to get David on 3 rides, the Viking rapids where we get drenched and when we dried out I got him on the Pirate Falls were we got splashed. Finally I got him on Atlantis were we where submerged in a submarine and went underwater to see sharks, but didn't get wet.
In the words of my 6 year old son "we had an awesome day".
The only problem is the children all want to go back again to do the rides we didn't get time to do, in their eyes we did it once we can do it again. I told them they have to save their money and we may be able to go again - oh to be as simplistic as a child again.
The day was well worth it though.
Oh, I have reduced David's steriods back down again (gradually) to 3mg, mainly because he doesn't want to be too high and partly because he can manage on a lower dose around the house. Plus we don't know whats around the corner and as David says "on a higher dose we don't have anywhere to go, on a lower dose we can increase to a higher dose as and when needed".
