Hospital phoned today - they have booked me in for a PET scan in Nottingham on Christmas Eve. PET scan = Positron emission tomography (PET) scans detect early signs of cancer, heart disease and brain disorders. An injectable radioactive tracer detects diseased cells. A combination PET-CT scan produces 3D images for a more accurate diagnosis.
Apparently I'm not allowed near children or pregnant women for 6 hours after. Wonder if I'll glow in the dark?
Then it looks like a pre-op physical on 12 Jan
