Had my annual PSA check end of September and it was 5.73 which is a rise of 1 in a period of 10 months. Appointment with Urologist and an echo Graph. 6th October08 The results were a palpable Prostate needing Biopsy.
17th October Biopsy
30th October confirmation of Prostate Cancer Gleason (4x3) 7 staged t2b
Irm Scan 17th November
Urologist 18th November
Suggests Op 1st week in January

I hope you are well and all is going ok for you. My husband went in for surgery last week (03.09.09), and went down to theatre Friday morning. I had a phone call to say they couldn't do the op, as he had a problem with his heart, which had not been detected before! It seems he needs to see a cariologist, as it would be unsafe to operate until they know what is going on. I know you had your operation date changed, due to a bug, how did you keep sane? My husband is very down about it, as he was told his cancer is fairly aggresive, and is understandably worried that any delay may affect his chances. I have reminded him of your experience and that you are now ok, but any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
