Thanks for giving your detailed history and for directing us to the yananow site.  In France it seems to be easier to pick a brilliant surgeon.  I must investigate the NHS on this score if the need arises.

I hope you are continuing to make excellent progress.

    Kind regards

Saw the specialist today 27th April who tells me my PSA is not around anymore and in his opinion I am cured. Have to see him again in three months to see my PSA still gone then every six months for the next five years. There still is life after cancer!!

Have to have 20 sessions of electro stimulation to make my waterworks good again.

Had about 12 sessions of the treatment which works very well and is totally painless

I am now on one pad a day and nothing at night so nearly there as far as continence goes.

Next job is the ED factor which pales into insignificance when your life was at the front.

    Report back later

Just had my six month visit to the specialist. All good news My PSA is zero and I am now fully continent wow what a relief. Now I have to get the sexual thing back and the doc is talking about the choice of either waiting which can take from one to two years or going for the injection route which gives instant recovery. Sounds good but I think I will wait until my next visit in February to persue that.

    Good luck every body.

    Hello David

I have just read your history and updates, and am so pleased that your PSA is now zero.  My husband (59), was diagnosed two weeks ago and also has a Gleason 7. His op is scheduled for 4th September and at the moment he is trying to get used to the idea that he has cancer.  He has had no symptoms and would not have found out, but had a blood test for a completely unrelated infection, so it was quite a shock, to say the least. It's good to read about real experiences and especially when treatment has been succesful, thankyou.

    I hope you stay well.
