Hooray !! No hospital this time !!!

1 minute read time.

Well, here we are, day 9 of chemo No.2 and so far no hospital this time. Apart from that the journey this time has been almost identical to the first one. No problems for the first few days ( apart from a fire alarm in the chemo dept. during treatment resulting in a mass evacuation ). Last Tuesday and part of Wednesday I had terrible depression but with Val's help got over that. Went to the mobility store in Bluewater on Wednesday to borrow a mobility scooter until my new one is in hopefully tomorrow. I have a ct scan on Tuesday which I think will be looking deeper than the first one to check that there is no more spread, will get the results on Thursday 19th the day before next chemo. We had a lovely afternoon on Thursday when John & Lisa came to see us & took us out to lunch which I think we all enjoyed, thank you both so much !!!. Had a laugh yesterday, went to Weald market with my borrowed scooter in the car, got it out & all assembled only to then realise that I had left the key at home so had to walk around very slowly ( brains are very dangerous). I have a Macmillan nurse calling on Wednesday to have a chat to hopefully help with the depression days. As I said, I am hoping to pick up my shiny new mobility scooter tomorrow so will be whizzing around everywhere looking like a giant on a pimple ( it's a small transportable one) but it's designed for my weight so should be ok. Well, I think that's all for now, I hope you don't mind me communicating in this way but you all know how useless I am on the phone.Much love to everyone and please keep hoping for me. Dave xxxxxx
