Had a terrible journey to Liverpool thanks to a derailment and a bus replacement from Sheffield to Manchester. Then they tried to get a trainful of people and all the football supporters onto a two coach unit. However did meet a very nice lady who was also going to the conference, and travelled with Derek Stewart from Manchester, so that made up for the delays.
Had a wonderful four days at the NCRI conference in Liverpool. Some of the technical detail went clear over my head, but the impression I gained was that the euphoria expressed at last year's conference is being slighly moderated by many tumours' propensity for developing resistance to the novel agents.
Arrived home to find my car had developed a flat tyre, At least I now know how to change a wheel - though I'm glad it wasn't at the side of a motorway, as trying to align the wheel with the holes is a nightmare - all my previous cars have had wheelnuts, not studs.
Went out to folk dancing last night - good to do something physical after four days sitting and listening.
