Had a great time at Gatwick, despite being "on duty". Met some lovely people for the first time, and some of the lovely people I met before. Also sad to find out about the ones who were there last time, and haven't survived.
Its a great shame we didn't have time to question Ciaran Devine the head of Macmillan - some of Macmillans policies are distinctly awry. Nice to find so many other people fed up with the Macmillan websites.
A very inspiring talk from GIles Long on Saturday afternoon.
After a really smooth trip down, just walking downstairs at St Pancras to get the Gatwick train, the return journey was a nightmare. I'd arranged to meet my son at Paddington, and hadn't realised the circle line, and all the lines between Paddington and St Pancras were closed. At one stage I ended up stranded at Kensington High Street and walked across Kensington Gardens to Paddington. We didn't even have time to go for a meal.
