I'm glad that you have made time to do a blog and share this disgusting tale of incompetence and rudeness with everyone.  It is absolutely terrible that things like this can happen.  We are accumulating quite a lot of stories about gps who are unbelievably cavalier about major symptoms which patients are desperately reporting.

You have suffered so much unnecessary extra pain and now you have to face the side-effects of chemotherapy.  I don't know if you are still deciding whether or not to report this to a higher authority, or whether to instruct solicitors.  You might care to take a look at the AvMA website, dealing with Victims of Medical Accidents.  Your story should definitely be on there.  I also think that this weight thing has taken over everything else.  It is looked on to be more of a crime than smoking or drinking, and it seems that this topical concern is blinding gps to the bigger picture.

As a fellow patient misdiagnosed by two stages, I can understand a bit of what you are going through.  Wishing you loads of love and sending HUGS  xxxx Penny
