My dad had an operation to remove the tumour today. It was more severe than they thought from the xrays, and he has had to have his Colon and small bowel removed. He has also been given a temporary stoma and will need to have surgery again in about 6 months.
He is in intensive care this evening, though they are concerned about his breathing.
The last few days before his surgery he was getting really bad, he fell backwards a couple of times and started to get muddled and forget things. Hopefully this is due to stress, rather than anything more sinister.
