Hello Everyone, My nan was diagnosed with cancer a few years back and they only gave her to Christmas 2 years back. A year and a half later and she was still fighting strong. My nan was a great character even though she had cancer my nan would always put a smile on our face. October 2013 she was admitted to hospital with a serious infection in which the doctors didn't pick up on during her appointment. I never use to see my nan as my partner and I are involved in the military. We booked time off to go back and see her and that was her final wish. The next day I received that horrible phone call and I didn't know what to do with myself. I knew something was up before hand as I texted my nan wishing her well as the doctors said she would have a few weeks left. Her strength was lost and she freed herself for the angels on the 27th of October 2013. I didn't know what to do with myself and I still don't now as I don't think its caught up with me yet. I try and remember all the memories that we use to have and they make me smile. Im a photographer and from all the help Macmillan Cancer Support gave to my nan. I will be donating near enough half of my photo shoot payments to them. But now i know that my nan is now flying with her husband and her youngest daughter all of whom had a specific cancer. how do you all show your support to Macmillan Cancer Support ? how do you cope with someone passing? xx
