Coping with side effects

Less than one minute read time.

I had a tumour removed from my Breast just before Christmas and started my first Chemo session on Wednesday last week. I have found the side effects very difficult to cope with.

The first couple of days I felt reasonably ok just felt weird and had an awful coating in my mouth that made all foods taste different, after about day 5 I rapidly went down hill suffering with severe headaches and feeling nauseas all the time, couldn't talk to any one without crying. One thing I have learnt is that you have to keep taking all the tablets that you are prescribed especially the ones for sickness. It is now day 10 and today I feel I have turned a corner, I have been able to eat better and I have felt much stronger in myself.

Anybody out there going through similar experiences during their treatment I would love to swap tips and ideas on anything that may help with coping with this
