Hi Guys
OK strange - 2 blogs in 2 days - hope this may lighten the mood a little. Been trying to get some chest and abdomen 'Discomfort' sorted out for about 3 months, not really serious enough to be classed as pain. I have now had every scan ever thought of by man and according to the results I have body of a 21 year old, they did not say if that was Male or Female and maybe one who had abused their body a fair bit !
One last procedure to go, I had been given an appointment for the 6th, then a couple of week ago they rang to say they were busy - so would have to be the 13th ! - at last it was not a Friday. They phoned Yesterday to ask if I could come in today, not that it was urgent, they had just had a cancellation
So the last test is a Gastroscopy - they use an endoscope to look down your throat and check your guts for any abnormalities. Its a good job they are not putting it up my nose to examine my head , they would find plenty. The procedure itself does not really bother me - I will be sedated and may get a decent afternoons sleep, followed by free coffee and buns !
What does bother me is there is someone in the chatroom, lets call her a Scrub Nurse just protect her Identity, OK Ali ? She has a wicked sense of humour and regales us with tales of what goes on when the victim - sorry Patient, is out of it. Suddenly realised thats me this afternoon, maybe not quite as funny now ! - I suppose what goes around comes around - lol.
I had 2 serious questions I should of asked her. The Clinic I am going to carry out the same procedure for rectums and bowels - I wondered if in these days of cash shortage and restrictions - do they have 2 cameras ? - If not why is mine so late in the day - wish I was going first !
Second point - listening to her and the combined experience of people on here about some of the errors that seem to happen so regularly, do I need to stencil a message on my rear with directions saying 'Open from the other End'
Well thats about it - hope to be back on chat tonight - take care everyone
Love and Hugs
John xx
