Image: a collage of photos from Community Members - 'With a peaceful theme'
As we approach Autumn, we are launching a new Picture Festival thread whilst taking some time to look back on the Spring and Summer pictures members have contributed in 2025.
We asked members of our Express Yourself forum to share pictures of their Spring and Summer. This could include pictures of nature, art and crafts, pets or more. A big thank you to everyone who shared their images this year. We know that it can bring many of you joy to share and see pictures of nature here on the Community. Can you see your image shared in the blog?
As the nights draw in and the weather is changing, images from Spring and Summer might help us all feel a little brighter. We are also looking forward to the changing colours of autumn and hope you will join in and share some of your own pictures.
Flowers were a popular entry into both the Spring and Summer Spotting threads. You showed us an abundance of jewel-toned blooms from your gardens and hedgerows.
Some of the photos can take you straight back to hazy sunshine days just by looking at them. You can almost hear the chorus of humming insects, busying themselves amongst the verdant meadows.
Birds and animals were another popular feature of the thread. One member even shared fox cubs playing in their garden! We're trying to get that video to share with everyone here now.
Members also shared some stunning landscape photos of rivers, lakes and sea, including this amazing image of the lighthouse at Berwick. Well done to the member who braved a solo adventure to take this photo earlier in the year.
We thought that the colours of these flora and foliage shots are a good introduction to the Autumn thread and have been chosen to start off the new thread this year.
There are far too many beautiful pictures of flowers, gardens and animals to share everyone’s photographs here in this blog. Can you spot yours? To find out who submitted which photos, please visit the original Spring Spotting and Summer Spotting threads in the Express Yourself forum.
Are you ready to take part in Autumn Spotting? You can find the new thread in our “Express yourself” forum. This forum is a place to celebrate creativity and demonstrates how some people find being creative can help them to feel better.
