Christmas has come and gone. New year is here now, and celebrations are over. Life is back to normal (whatever that means). How many unwanted Christmas presents do you have, and what are you going to do with them? Could I suggest taking them to your local Macmillan charity shop, where they will do some good?
When the time comes to start thinking about Christmas cards again, instead of buying & posting them, why not donate the money to your favorite charity. I am in a few groups which do this, a 'Charity of the Year' is voted for, and money that would be spent on cards (Birthday & other greetings) & posting them is collected and after the 12 months are up, the 'Charity of the Year' gets a cash boost. It may be a small donation or it could be quite a large one, depending the size of the individual group(s). If you plan on going down this route, don't forget to tell your friends & relations so they do not feel left out or forgotten, who knows, they might even take up the idea & start their own group(s). Now is the time to send out your messages
