The good news; This morning, I went to my surgery to have the usual blood sample taken for my Thursday's hospital visit. I now always ask for a blood pressure test to email to the hospital (a little extra information always helps) The reading was 130/80 I sent the email, and the reply was "Perfect, you must have been a VERY good boy" This is the sort of relationship I have with my Nursing Sister.
The cock-up: I was down to my last compact catheters, I called the surgery to ask if the prescription had been dealt with...No ideas. I 'phoned my supplier (Charter healthcare) as far as they were concerned I should be getting a delivery today by Parcelforce. Within 5 minutes of my conversation with Charter, the surgery rang, apologising for the error. Boots Chemist have my prescription, due to the fact my prescription was overlooked (again, 3 times now) "Could I wait for Boots to deliver sometime tomorrow?" Guess what my reply was. I called to collect the parcel, and on my return home, there in the porchway was a delivery from Charter. I now have double prescriptions, so I will not have to re-order until late February - early March. The lady at the surgery promised again, that this would not happen again. Going on past performances, I wonder. I get the feeling that people these days do not take on board what is being told to them, by word of mouth or written.
