Happy Monday!

1 minute read time.

Hi all,

Hope everyone is feeling good on this lovely wintery Monday morning. I had a fab weekend with family and friends round Saturday night to watch fireworks and a little BBQ. I live right by the Abbey Gardens and they have a wonderful fireworks display which we get to watch for free in our own garden. So we lit the barbie and did sausages, burgers and baked potatoes to keep us all warm. Then did some marshmallow kebabs for the kids and yummy hot chocolate.  We ended up having a few drinks and watching the boxing which was a bit boring if I'm honest. I like to see a bit more action in a fight ;-).

I have my 4th cycle of Herceptin coming up on Wednesday. It all seems to be going very well so I am sure this one will be no different. I have been keeping up nicely with the gym and its paying off...I have lost an inch from my waist so far. I have also started doing some yoga based classes which really help with relaxation and inner well being. Hopefully it will all go towards improving my prognosis, well it cant hurt can it??

Love to all

    Afternoon Chrissi,

Oh your firework and bonfire night sounded great, wish I was there, how nice to see a "professional" .display from the safety and comfort of your own garden.  Even better it was free!  We didn't bother with the Town Park this year - too many people with too many infections and I am a paranoid android about that at the mo.

Well done on the gym - I still havent started, keep saying after Christmas I am going to get fit and slim!  I am sure the yoga can't hurt at all, unless you get stuck in an awkward position ;)

lol or fall over like I almost did a few times. I did pilates on the ball last week which was hilarious too!

We are really lucky as we live right in the town centre and have the rugby club a few yards away from the front of my house and the Abbey at the back.So in effect we got to see 2 great displays.

dont blame you for staying in, probably even being out in the damp and cold wouldnt have done you any favours. Besides there are some really nasty bugs around right now too. We've had a few in this house.

I've got a great way to keep slim, just have your bladder removed in a 6 hour operation, I've lost two stone. Much easier than Weightwatchers!

Ooh you rub it in Andrew!!

Thats the downside of having a breast removed you see....it has no impact on the inner workings of the body. Therefore the weightloss has to be achieved elsewhere which for me is every class I can get into at the gym...body attack, RPM, yoga, pilates...you name it.

Maybe I will ask my onc if she thinks there is anything else I could have removed which might work?? stomach maybe???
