Anyone else thinking about Christmas yet?? lol

1 minute read time.

Oh well I'm annoyed....I posted a blog this morning and it has disappeared off the face of the internet lol. Well I cant remember exactly what I put but it was something like treatment went well yesterday. I expected it would as this Herceptin is a bit of a breeze although I do feel a little tired today. Thats nothing new!! I stubbed my toe this morning on the hoover just as I was leaving for school run, have a nasty gash across the top.  I had to hobble all the way to school in the rain and it is very sore now. Silly me.  My little girl is home today feeling poorly with this awful bug going around. I had a bad cold a couple of weeks back so did my eldest, then he was really ill again last week now her.

Anyone else thinking about Xmas yet? I have started getting some things and we are also thinking about going out for dinner. I know its quite expensive but it is also my bday and I never get to go out. Besides I hate spending all morning in the kitchen when all the kids want me to do is play with them with their new stuff!! Anyone else made any plans??

Love to all

  • Hi Chrissie

Bet the air was blue when you stubbed your toe.

Have been invited to my sisters in the Lake District this year so no food shopping for me. Hooray.

Leaving my son (28) with his girlfriend this year. Bought him a Cadbury's advent calender today. He sulks if he doesn't get one.

May have to post Christmas cards soon due to strikes.

Yes, looking forward to Christmas as it would also mark the end of my son's treatment (fingers crossed)!  Thanks for putting up this thread, was wondering if it was too early to think of Christmas but for my family it also means only 3 chemo sessions to go.

Yes already planned.  I've got all Christmas off work again, thanks to my lovely boss. Usually we take it in turns one year its me, the next year he has off but he has said that I get to have every Christmas and he hopes its for a lot of them as he is not going to make me miss what might be our last Christmas together.

We are going to our "Tin Villa" in the Dales and hopefully all our sons will be there for Christmas Day.  As for pressies I am always last minute, except for middle son's pressy as I bought his and he bought mine when we went to the F1 at Silverstone. Maclaren Jacket for him & Brawn for me.   As for Loggy !!!! What do you get someone who can't eat or drink and won't and I quote "buy clothes I might not get enough wear out off".   Me thinks a nice leather jacket thats hard wearing and he gets loads of wear out of it.

I'm with Debs on this - except in our house Christmas doesn't get discussed until December 1st., so consider it an honour that I'm even writing this!!   ;-)

After all, right now it's still 1/6th of the year away!!

But once Dec 1st arrives, it's Christmas all the way. It's our absolute favourite time of the year and as each day passes my wife brings out a decoration here, a model village there, and so on. In this way we all sense it getting closer and and closer.

I'd love to know - when do you open your present(s)?

Some of or friends open them all a 1 minute past midnight, others leave it until after dinner on Christmas Day (and I mean dinner - presents stay wrapped until 9-10pm!!).
