Jumping ship from Facebook to Macmillan

Now made that decision to delete completely my facebook site and join Macmillan.My father died of lung cancer on March 21st 2011 and i now feel a connection to this site.

    Hi John, welcome to the site. You will get a lot of support from the fantastic guys on here. Dont desert other sites like Facebook, cancer is only one of the experiences you have had to face and life does have other aspects. A load of us on here also use Facebook, a lot of fun can be had on Facebook and it cheers you up. Cancer can take over your life if you let it. I am a lung cancer patient but I still have a life away from cancer and Facebook makes me smile. Take comfort on the Macmillan site but dont become morbid, I am sure your father would not want you to be miserable. Keep smiling, live life to the full.

    I hope you have taken this advice in the way it is intended. Take care my friend, your grief will pass with time and you will find you have loads of happy memories.         Bill
