Pain in my armpit

Less than one minute read time.
Just over three weeks ago i had a small op on my reconstructed breast by lyposuction because it was bigger than the other. The op went really well and i didnt have any pain at all. Today though i,ve got this dull ache in my armpit. I also have breast lymphodema. Has anyone got any advice? Should i go back to the breast clinic if it carries on? Love Cherylxxx

it might be a good idea to ring your breast care nurse up, maybe that area just needs to be aspirated and better to get it checked out. let us know how you get on

Hello Cheryl, the last thing you should do right now is worry about your armpit - see the nurse and I'm sure all will be okay.  You have been through a lot and I bet it's just a healing phase.  What a shame you are crying alone.  I know you're just trying to protect your kids but sometimes they need to feel part of your grief as well as your happy side.  Its amazing what children can teach us about feelings, although I respect you need and want to protect them.  Kids are very strong though.  I too have problems with my joints and at the moment have sciatica so I am resolving to lose some weight and keep moving.  As if we don't have enough on our plates!  You are not alone; is there someone close who can have a glass or ten of wine with you?  My best frriend has really come to be there for me and she always manages to make me laugh in the end.  I hope I don't sound pushy but if you want to rant or cry I will share your thoughts/feelings.  Take care, I am thinking of you and wishing you strength and peace.

my last mammogram ever took about 3 weeks for the results, hopefully your hospital will be a lot quicker, lets hope the wait isn't too long and that the time inbetween goes fast for you xxxxx
