Hi everyone! This is my first blog and I have to say how relieved I am to have found this site. The things I have read so far in the forums and blog posts have been incredible. It feels like I have found what I think is an invaluable source of strength and support. Everything still feels very surreal for me at the moment and i have read some very comforting blogs. Thanks to u all xxx

Hi Charlie,welcome to the site that no-one wants to join. It must be awful living so far away from your mum. I live in the south lakes too. I hope you find this site invaluable as I have done. There are a lot of very good sound people on here. This is the site to vent all your feelings and we will listen.Take care love Julie xx

Hi Charlie,

Welcome to our club. I joined last June and found it an absolute godsend when I was first diagnosed and going through surgery and chemo, You'll get plenty of support, advice and friendship.

By the way, I'm a Cardiff girl, now living in North Wales. My son is currently studying at Cardiff Uni.

I was there just before easter and found driving in the city centre a nightmare. It has changed so much in such a short space of time. If I want to go shopping in the centre again, I'll be taking the bus!!
