After all the ups, downs, whirlwinds and spaceouts i've been through i got a good result and it was all worth it.
My cancer was graded 1b1 with lymph node involvement. I also had anaemia which is cured but had and still have high blood pressure. Chemo treatment had to be ok'd only if my bp was steady.
I could not have a general anaesthetic for my brachtherapy treatment, i was awake through the operation to insert the rods for my internal radiotherapy.
I have been put through the menopause, have bad pain at the bottom of my back and my hair has gone thin and short after it was very thick and long. I don't mind the side effects too much. my hair will grow, pain can be relieved and the menopause symptoms will fade.
I am a happier person in myself and appreciate all the staff at the hospital who have work hard to make it as comfortable as possible for me.
You know at the end of the day "cancer" never seemed that important to me UNTIL it happened to me. Thats why i am now a new better person.
