i have been to see the specialist ,its early stage cancer type
1a,4.8 mm,its just in an awkward postion. the trachelectomy
procedure, however after looking over my notes and speakin to the
consultant who performed my knife cone biopsy"s,he has said this
procedure is not suitable as the tumour is on the vaginal wall of the
uterus higher up the cervix,so they cannot see whether any has entered
the uterus.(i dont know how to explain this)The trac would basically
take the width across the cervix but not the height if that makes
sense!!??so they are sendin me for a mri mid june, then they are goin to
try another biopsy the week after, but obviously wont know what they"re
looking for,as their will be scarring from the previous op.However if
this is not successful,i need to prepare myself for the hysterectomy.
But
im tryin to stay positive, not get my hopes up as seem to keep getting
knocked back down, and take each day as it comes. When you first hear that
word it scares the hell out of you,and i was thinking "am i going to
die"? NO i am not,but this has definately made me view things in a
different light x
