just got back from mums funeral .it was a lovely service , i'm so glad it went so well .
marc my son and i sat at the back of the church in our wheelchairs ,every time a tear escaped we held each others hand. we coped so well .now it's hit me how tired and exhausted i am. it has been a hard 6mths since dx , and this last two weeks has passed in a blur ? or fog ?. don't know how i have got through it .now i'm going to rest today , recharge my batteries .
tomorrows a new day , and the start of a new chapter in my life , i made mum some promises.

Hi Carol, I don't really know what to say, except I am so sorry for your loss. I can understand you must be exhausted. Times like this take it out of us all and it must be ten times worse when you are ill.

Saying I am glad the service went well doesn't seem right, so I will say I am glad that your Mum had a suitable send off and as you say you are ready to start a new chapter and maybe fulfil a few promises?!

you can sleep and sleep Carol till you wake. I know how exhausting it can be, I said farewell to mum 2 years ago and I slept for a couple of days on and off afterwards. I am glad to hear it all went well and just to let you know I am thinking of you.
