Yesterday we met with both the oncologist and surgeon at Tommys. During her stay in hospital the surgeon made a comment that he got all the cancer, we assumed he meant her hysterectomy, turns out he also got the bowel tumour at the same time!
I don't know if they say this to all the patients? But the oncologist says she is amazed at Mimi's strength of fight, saying that when she first saw her at the begining of the year she did not think she would still be with us today!
She starts 2 more cycles of chemo next week, followed by a CT scan, then another review. If all goes well, don't say it too loudly, but it looks like she will be in remission. Gingercat.
